HyDIME sought to design, integrate, and trial the world’s first dual hydrogen / diesel injection system onboard a commercial vessel in Orkney, using hydrogen generated at the Shapinsay port.

HSSMI was tasked with establishing a closed loop supply chain and circular economy framework for the Waste-to-Wings project. HSSMI mapped out waste streams and conducted waste feedstock audits and surveys with stakeholders. This enabled us to access the critical mass waste streams needed to scale up

HSSMI is working with CO-VERSATILE project partners on designing training packages for crisis situations. The training packages will provide the workforce remote access to digital work instructions and engineering data through the use of digital manufacturing tools.

CLiCCC has secured a finalist place in the Net Zero category which recognises achievements to bring forward projects using technology advances, innovative process, by-products to enable responsible production from waste streams and sustainable actions that decarbonise and achieve net zero.

The purpose of this report is to share the results from our projects over the past 12 months and to showcase the level of expertise and value the HSSMI team delivers across all of their projects.

With a passion for science and technology and a keen interest in electrification and net zero, Sam has been a natural addition to the HSSMI team. Sam himself says that he joined HSSMI as his passion matched up to the company’s vision of helping others to achieve net zero.
